Reaching hundreds of students each year, APW is developing a series of conservation workbooks for primary and secondary schools within the Tarangire ecosystem. Based on an interactive design that emphasizes analytical thinking, workbook activities encourage students to engage their families in the learning process, thereby reaching the community at large. Our workbooks are developed in collaboration with local schools, ensuring their overall utility, feasibility and compatibility with the national school curriculum. By incorporating teachers, our process also helps to improve teaching skills and builds overall educational capacity. Available workbooks and teacher training manuals include “Your Village Environment” and “Your Environment with Lions” with additional workbooks currently in production.
