Like any good Tanzanian meeting, “Under the Tree” Salons are intimate, informal discussions. Ours concern an African conservation or social development issue, and take place in homes and event spaces in North America.

By hosting an “Under the Tree” event in your home, you have the opportunity to spend time directly with Executive Director Dr. Laly Lichtenfeld.

Formats are flexible – a small luncheon, brunch, or evening wine event. You and/or your ~10 guests select an African conservation or community development topic of your interest (or select from an APW-provided list of themes).  With Dr. Lichtenfeld leading the conversation, guests have an opportunity to learn about conservation as well as about APW’s work.

Event scheduling is contingent on Dr. Lichtenfeld’s travel schedule.
